Only forty-five minutes south of Kansas City, Miami County offers so much to see and do. Hoot Owl Hill offers a welcome break when you need to get out of the city for a while.
Hill Time, it's a state of mind. Here on The Hill we think outside-no box required. We know that all good things in life are found taking the scenic route. We drink the wild air, don't carry a map, talk with the butterflies, and relax. We like to create trails, not follow them here on The Hill and along the way we enjoy campfires, good friends and great food and wine. So bring your guitar, leave your computer at home, and come on out to enjoy some Hill Time.

Hoot Owl Hill offers various opportunities to experience country fresh air, fresh home grown produce, exquisite butterfly flower gardens, and big sky for stargazing. Located at nearly the highest point in Miami County Kansas within sight of Miami County Airport we offer space for small venue gatherings of all sorts and themes. The 14-acre property supports a vineyard of Concord and Frontenac gris grapevines, an espaliered fruit tree patio, and a blueberry patch, and all will be ready for ‘you-pick’ the summer of 2015. In the meantime, you can experience alfresco dining on our beautiful wraparound porch, Glamping in our glamorous bell tents or delightful and cozy sheepherder wagon, or stay the night in one of our rooms in the newly-built log home. Our friendly chickens will provide you the freshest of eggs, and our guineas will greet you with their unique “songs.”
